Jill’s Mom: Hey, Sis. Thanks for calling but I’m busy right now so I have to get off the phone.
Aunt Gertrude: What are you doing?
Jill’s Mom: Remember when we all went drinking a few nights ago, including my daughter and my no good son-in-law?
Aunt Gertrude: Yep, yep. I remember. You got so drunk we had to carry you out.
Jill’s Mom: Well, never mind that. Jack borrowed some money from me to get more beer, then called me a chump. A chump! Well, I’m getting even. I’m planting bugs all over their house so I can keep track of him.
Aunt Gertrude: Wait. Wasn’t that the time you were dancing on the table? He wasn’t calling you a chump! He was calling you a CHIMP!
Jill’s Mom: Oh. Now you tell me.
This week’s Jack and Jill word was provided by The Boy’s Girlfriend on the Thursday 13 list. It’s the one that grabbed me this time. I’m still thinking about Sassy.
I’m open to more suggestions. Toss out some words or phrases and let’s see what I can do with them.
