13 Bands New to Me

People keep introducing me to new music. It’s been quite an education for me this year.

1. Novroz introduced me to LArc~en~Ciel. You can learn a lot more about them from Novroz

2. I discovered the Vamps while trying to find more LArc~en~Ciel

3. Biopsyhoz. The Boy introduced me to this. He’s been getting into all kinds of Russian stuff lately.

4. Skryllix Another of The Boy’s finds.

5. Gotye. Yep, The Boy again.

6. Kimbra. This one I ran across while looking for Gotye.

7. Grizzly Bear The Boy recognized them when I showed him a Kimbra video

8. This lead to Awolnation

9. Jennifer Leeland introduced me to Lissie

10. And also to Skylar Grey. Admittedly I’d heard her songs before, but I hadn’t connected a name.

11. The Girl suggested Hatsune Miku

12. Mr. Al put Angelique Kidjo under my nose. He’s picking up every album from her that he runs across.

13. And one I stumbled across randomly; Lin

All I can say is what a world we live in.
