Terrible title, and I’ve considered just deleting this thing a time or two, but oh well. I’m going to let it fly. Yep, I’m egotistical enough to quote myself. 🙂 What I said with the occasional link to where I said it.
1. If we are not responsible for one another, why do we come in groups?
2. Nothing in life is ever as clean as what a legend requires. http://dianadiario.blogspot.com/2007/01/day-forty-three.html
3. I’m not so big on hope, myself. After all, it is one of the things that flew out of Pandora’s box. http://thezenofmotherhood.blogspot.com/2012/03/on-hope.html
4. Writing is like tennis. I works better when there is someone on the other side of the net. Writing with no intention to publish is like playing tennis against the wall – good practice but missing something.
5. Writing a book is like a long hike up a mountain. If you can get in “the flow” You still have the same long trail, only it feels like dancing.
6. What is unpalatable as instruction is fascinating as entertainment.
7. The thing about submitting (manuscripts to editors) is that you may not get anything out of it, but if you don’t do it, then it isn’t even possible to get accepted.
8. I hate the way editors and agents leave things vague, as if their personal standards were industry standards. They have no idea how squirrelly a writer’s mind gets when confronted with anything remotely resembling an acceptance.
9. Love is more fun when you stop to appreciate it. http://themanwhowalksalonewalksfaster.blogspot.com/2012/09/ask-right-questions.html
10. I firmly believe love is the absolute most important thing in life. Without it, there’s no point.

11. Those of us who are lucky will spend a lot more time being old than being young.

12. Sometimes I smile at the butterflies and sometimes I don’t. It depends on the butterfly. Same thing for the days with my husband.

13. I don’t write for fun. I write because life is meaningless when I don’t. – Alice Audrey
