Fall’s Front Page

Switched out 12/18/11

Best laid plans of rodents and women – my exercise program got washed out by an excess of rain. More about that in a minute. First, let me introduce Win a Book.

If you look at my menu bar, you’ll notice I have a new page up. It’s a new home for Win a Book, that great resource developed by Susan Helene Gottfried. It all became too hard for her to keep on top of, so I made a few changes and set it up over here. She’s still running the one at Facebook, which is where the first two entries came from, but I’m taking responsibility for it over here. I’m hoping you all will find it easy and enjoyable to use.

Now, back to the walk-and-take-pictures exercise program. I still think it’s a good idea, but the fear of ruining my only remaining camera in all the rain we’ve been getting here in Montana actually decreased my efforts, instead of increasing it the way I’d hoped for. I got out for a break between storms on a couple of occasions and got this.

Then Sunday we had skies so clear I thought we might be done with it for a while, and I took these.

But alas, Monday it started up again and I have no idea when I’ll get to get out and about again, and even if it is dry, I’ll probably be out working on the house. So for the time being, this program is set aside. It did keep me moving longer than I would have been inclined to walk on Sunday, though, so I’ll try to revisit it again sometime in the future.
