and walking into a mess;
Mr. Al’s newspapers piled and scattered, history books and potato chips,
The Boy’s skateboard right where I’ll trip over it,
The Girl’s entire shoe collection unavoidable as a toddler’s toys,
My quilt parts draped over table and chairs.
Panic! Better clean. Family will be coming to visit.
