Memory Lane

The house at the end of the block
Holds bad memories for everyone.
The entire town was guilty
Of leaving those people
To twist in the wind
When an angry driver totaled their lives.
An intentional accident.
Because of their religion.
So kids, don’t play there.
Now that they are finally gone,
We want to forget.

The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to write a story in exactly 55 words. Flash Fiction 55 is hosted by the G-man, a host with the most.
