“Let’s ride the Whirly-Whirl!” Alicia pulled on Sally’s hand.
“You mean the Hurly-Hurl? No way. Let’s just go back to the bumper cars.”
“Come on. I’m tired of bumper cars. Besides. We always ride the Whirly-Whirl. It’s tradition.” Alicia tugged harder.
“Every time you sit on the inside I end up cleaning my clothes in the bathroom. The only way I’d ride that with you is if you sit on the outside.”
“Okay!”
Afterward Alicia wiped her mouth in mortification while Sally laughed.
“That was worth it,” Alicia giggled. “The expressions on the faces of the people coming toward us….”
