There’s a town on the other side of Lake Batur whose name escapes me. It’s set up on a ridge. The ridge is so narrow that only the road down the middle fits. The buildings on either side spill down the sides. We stopped there for lunch.
2. The road.
4. Fruit stand. I have no idea what kind of fruit, though the word “big” comes to mind.
5. Outside the restaurant. I couldn’t tell if they were building or breaking it.
6. Across the ash-filled skies to the volcano. (On the left)
7. Inside the restaurant.
8. They really provided the royal treatment.
9. With great views all the way around.
10. To the left. Anyone’s toes tingling yet?
11. To the right.
12. The neighbor to the right.
13. And one further down the road.
