“When I wrote the letter,” replied Darcy, “I believed myself perfectly calm and cool, but I am since convinced that it was written in a dreadful bitterness of spirit.”
One of the cool things about Jane Austin’s work is that it has all passed into the creative commons. That means it’s possible to get a copy for free. I got mine from the Free Books ap in iPad. They also have Shakespeare, Dickens, and James Joyce. I suspect I’ll be reading more classics.
MizB of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesday. Grab your current read, open to a random page, share a couple of “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. Go see Should Be Reading for more detail.
