Just a quick look back at a previous post.
1. I can’t say I’ve really gotten back to blogging, but I’ve gotten better. 🙂
2 I’m still sitting around in the living room, but that is partly because I’m nursing a concussion. Moving gives me a headache.
3. I’ve taken little nibbles at the computer issues. I’m still not fully functional, but getting closer.
4. Motivation has been creeping up on me. Maybe I don’t really need to worry about my lack of it.
5. My reading has returned to normal levels.
6. I haven’t gotten much work done, but I’ve been trying. Kind of the revers of what I was after.
7. Gained weight rather than losing.
8. Still haven’t got the cell phone set up.
9. Been eating chocolate. Probably why I’m not losing weight.
10. Gifts are shipped! Now I have a couple of cards to come up with, but otherwise free and clear.
11. Got The Boy to fix my bicycle. Yay! Been riding, but now holding off until concussion goes away.
12. Never enough sleep.
13. I’m unsuccessful in getting nothing done. I’m counting that as a good thing.
Sonoma. What a weird name. Emma lay on the bed in Miranda’s room and stared at the ceiling. The room smelled of shoes.
Emma always thought Miranda didn’t like her. But as soon as she found out about Emma and the thing with her brother, Miranda cleared the piles of clothes and shoes off the bed in her room. The place was a kaleidoscopic mess – like one huge walk in closet turned inside out.
The girl gaped adorably as she stared across the den at them. Sonoma had always found that lost waif look appealing. Knowing what little she did about Emma, Sonoma felt compelled to do everything she could to help.
Trent smiled and gave her hand a squeeze – his signal that he totally understood her feelings, and would back her up. The two of them had encountered waifs any number of times over the fifty plus years of their union.

“You’re Jim’s sister? You poor thing.” The old man shook his head.
Emma stood in Mrs. H’s den like a stupid deer. She couldn’t decide if she should stare at Drew or the old man and old woman so she tried to do both and probably looked like a total derp face.
“It’s alright,” Drew said. “They’re harmless.” He gestured at a chair next to her. He was already sitting in the one opposite of her. The old couple had the couch.
It’s spring in Montana. That means it’s sometimes winter, and sometimes summer and generally something bouncing between the two.
I was at work, and saw something floating past the window. At first I didn’t think much about it. This time of year there might be cottonwood fluff, or apple blossom petals, or any manner of natural air pollution. My co-worker happened to be looking at the weather forecast on her phone, and said it was supposed to get cold enough to snow tomorrow. For a minute I thought the snow had already come. Nope. It was just fluff.
All my trees have leaved out. It’s very pretty. You should see the gorgeous bumper crop of dandelions in my yard! They’re all white and… fluffy.
I better sneak out next time i go somewhere. The neighbors might shoot me on sight considering the condition of my lawn on comparison to their own.
The problem is that I had made an agreement with my son for him to take care of the yard in exchange for a rent break. He’s proving about as reliable now as he was as a teenager. Frankly, I’m ready to cut him loose. At least then I can hire a real lawn care company that will actually do the work when they say they will. It might be cheaper.
As to the hip recovery, it’s coming along well. I still get the occasional twinge, and have some problems sitting at a right angle for very long, but otherwise I’m very happy with it. Now it’s just a matter of getting back on the exercise program.
So, how’s your weather?
I broke down and bought a new computer. I’m already regretting it. The keyboard is too small. I keep stumbling over my own fingers. Passwords are still a major problem. There are certain email accounts i can’t get into at all. And I discovered that not all USB ports are made alike. My new one is also the charging port. That means I better have a full battery before i do half of what i want to because I can’t do it and recharge at the same time.
Of course I would try to do this during one of my busy seasons. Ugh. Anyway, one more week, and then Hell or high water I will be back
I’m still having computer problems.
It started with a laptop that was in my lap and actively working when it died. It made the stereotypical “Peeeewwww” sound and the monitor shut down and that was the total end of it. I couldn’t get it to turn on again. I handed it off to The Boy and moved on.
I’m attempting to blog from a $50 tablet. All my other computers have broken down. If your blog requires a password to leave a comment, it could be a while before I get back to you.
Sorry. No Suzie’s House this week. I’ll resume blogging as soon as I can.
If anyone knows Anastasia please tell her I will be unable to do her son’s taxes. Can’t get into my email.
Don’t expect email replies. It could be a while before I get this message straightened out.
“Why? I’m not saying let’s go back to the park. I’m saying why did we have to leave when the sun is still up.” Lisa meant for the question to go to the entire band though she looked at Bruce as they hustled along to Ben’s house.
“Like I said already, we’ll talk about it when we get to the house.”
Alice slaved over the numbers. Every time the equity balanced, the income didn’t. Without even this rudimentary level of accounting, how could she hope to complete the tax forms? Finally finished, she double checked the address. The likelihood that congress would chose to change something so basic was low, but the laws change every year. Best to check.
Yep. Same address as the last ten years. Her eyes slid down the instructions by a few paragraphs. There the changes for the year listed something she hadn’t worried about. The date for filing had been changed. The new date? Yesterday.
