If you’re reading this, then I didn’t get a chance to pick anyone this week because my brain went on vacation along with my wandering body. 🙂 Please forgive me. I’ll be back to picking a featured author next week.

If you are not an author and would only like to read, then please leave a comment. I may feature you next week.
Drew stood in front of a narrow window in the foyer of the inn in Yellowstone and stared at the darkness. No taxi would come for him. No busses ran now. And he did not have a place to stay. In the early evening moonlight the deep piles of snow gleamed eerily, taunting him with his own stupidity.
If you haven’t been reading Alice Rozen’s serial, The Looking Glass, you should check it out. It’s hilarious.

Suzie stood in her bedroom with the letter in her hand. “Suzie” was written in Drew’s bold script over the top. Clearly he’d expected her to open his suitcase and find it sitting there on top of his belongings. Did he really think she wouldn’t respect his privacy? Did he not know her at all?
Old Egg is back! With new installments on Ahu and Ahuahu! Yay!

Jack: What are you making? It’s got ripples in it.
Jill: Baby food.
Jack: Really?! That’s wonderful. Wait, you aren’t even pregnant yet.
Jill: I know. It’s for…
Jill: …Mom!
Jill’s mother: Did I hear you say pregnant? Yes!

He loves her.
Each morning glistens like morning dew on the rose petals
as she stumbles into the kitchen
where coffee splashing into the cup warms his smile.
She sets the toast to slow-burn and stops for a kiss
that is never as quick as intended nor
as long as either would like.
When she heads out the door, his scent lingers
giving her a Mona Lisa smile all day.
The instant Tracy lay eyes on the suitcase, she was completely taken with it. How weird! A suitcase sitting right by the door. Judging by the dent it made in her shin it must be full. Was someone leaving?
“Whose suitcase is this, Mrs. H. ?”
“Ah. That.” Mrs. H. finished closing the door behind Tracy, and looked at the suitcase like it might bite her. “That belongs to a former tenant.”
Is it just me, or did Sheilagh remodel? She’s up to episode five (hopefully six this week) of Child of the Cuckoo’s Nest. I’m liking her male lead in that more and more.
